    • Drain cooling system Remove old by pass hose Install new by pass hose Refill with coolant and test drive for proper operation
    • Drain radiator, flush engine block, add coolant & pressure test.
    • Change oil,filter & lube. Check all fluids, hoses & belts. Check tires & adjust pressure.

    • Test drive – erratic shifting, dash gauges twitching and power loss Used Scan Tool on Vehicle Trouble Codes Found: #P0300 random misfire #P0420 Catalyst system bank 1 #P0430 Catalyst system bank 2 #P0700 TCM #P2099 Post catalyst #P2544 Torque request circuit #U0073 Control module bus #U0101 Lost communication with TCM #U0121 Lost communication with ABS system Appears to have lost communication with computer Check battery and charging system – charging erratically – 14 to 16+ volts Check electrical connections Check power and ground cables Clear code and test drive Running good until problem occurs again Recommend checking at Chevy Dealer
    • Need to repair computer problems first
    • Drain radiator, flush engine block, add coolant & pressure test.
    • Test temperature – idle 52* driving 45* Check system pressures Low pressure 20 psi, High 170 psi Pressures slightly low at idle Found AC compressor noisy Appears to be better after coolant flush and refill Recommend replacing AC compressor

    • Raise the vehicle on the hoist and inspect Found transmission shift cable clip broken at transmission end Need to replace cable clip and recheck
    • Replace transmission shift cable clip
    • Fill cooling system and pressure test Found heater hose broken at plastic fitting Need to replace heater hoses and recheck
    • Drain cooling system Remove both engine compartment heater hoses Install new heater hoses and reassemble Refill and pressure test No other leaks found at this time
    • Drain radiator, flush engine block, add coolant & pressure test.
